June Watts 2018 Residential Workshop in Southern Alberta
Beyond Belief: August 10 - 12 The basic theme this weekend is personal empowerment. In the Dance we learn steps, but the essence, the energy, the power of the Dance lives beyond them. The steps are, literally, steps to the truth embodied within the Dance. The Dance is far more than the steps, as we are far more than our outward appearance. Prospero, the magician in Shakespeare's final play 'The Tempest', has learned the'steps' of his magic, and found power through them, but he comes finally to the point where he can release the magic tricks and tools and move into his own inner power. So for us, surrendering to the inner truth of the Dances empowers us to release our props and past roles and definitions and dance into the freedom of who we really are. - June Watts, 2018 www.junewatts.com
